It was due to take place on the first Monday in March 2021 but due to the Covid-19 pandemic the Installation of Bro. Anthony Howlett-Bolton, Craft Provincial Grand Master, into the chair of Adoniram at Caduceus Lodge of MMM No. 1631 had to be delayed until Thursday 22nd July 2021. 45 Brethren attended the meeting which included 3 Past Provincial Grand Masters, 2 from the Craft in the persons of V.W.Bro. Digby Woods and W.Bro. Martin Peters and 1 from the Mark Degree, R.W.Bro. Peter Sands. The meeting was also the final official visit of R.W.Bro. Richard Olliver, Provincial Grand Master before his retirement at midnight on Friday 23rd July 2021.
Before the meeting got to the main event of Installing Bro. Anthony, W.Bro. Peter Moody, Worshipful Master, thanked the Provincial Grand Master on behalf the members of Caduceus Lodge for the way in which he had lead the Province for the last eight years and wished him well in his retirement. He also reminded him that he was not to be a stranger to the Lodge once his period of purdah had been served.
And so we moved onto the main event of the evening, the Installation of Bro. Anthony Howlett-Bolton who was Installed into the chair of Adoniram bt W.Bro. Peter Moody, Worshipful Master in an exemplary fashion. Of course, as you would expect, the Master Elect took to the chair like a duck takes to water, he invested his officers in a lovely manner and completed the agenda in an orderly and efficient fashion.
The atmosphere throughout the ceremony was one of enjoyment, it seemed that everybody was delighted to be present and being able to meet once again in a well prepared and covid compliant lodge room. Following the ceremony everybody retired to the bar and dining room where the festivities continued in a more relaxed atmosphere, a wonderful meeting was had by all.
