With the rule of 6 in operation it was decided to hold our November meeting via Zoom and it was fortuitous as another Lock Down commenced on the day of the scheduled meeting. The decision to hold this one day prior was taken due to other commitments of the Secretary.
We were honoured by the presence of the R.W. P.G.M. Richard John Oliver, G.M.R.A.C., W.Bro. Huw Hopkin, Prov.G.Sec. and four other distinguished visiting Brethren together with W. Bro. David Edmunds, W.M., and 11 members of the Lodge.
The Virtual Business Meeting was declared open at 6.05pm by the W.M. who welcomed everyone especially our P.G.M. who responded in his usual warm manner. The Dispensation was read and then tribute was paid to departed Brethren. There were four in total including W. Bro. Peter Lloyd, who had belonged to 16 different orders and been Master in them no less than 57 times. During his time he had held 45 Provincial Ranks, 22 Grand Ranks including RW and 5 VW. W. Bro. Mike Davis within his eulogy wondered if such dedication has occurred before or will ever be repeated. The R.W. P.G.M. then gave his eulogy to R.W. Bro. Alan Brunning, P.P.G.M. for whom he had great affection.
The rest of the order of business was conducted in a smooth manner before the P.G.M. said a few words to the Brethren prior to the WM closing what had been a convivial meeting at 6.50pm with thanks to all attending.
