The Friendship & Care Lodge of MMM welcomed a new Worshipful Master with Brother Jem Whitmore being installed by Worshipful Brother Derek Andrew. This may be W.Bro. Jem’s first time in a Mark chair but he will be well known to Berkshire masons as the Deputy Grand Superintendent for the Royal Arch.
The I.P.M., on being presented with his Past Master’s Jewel, commented that he had throughly enjoyed his time as W.M. and wished he had joined the Mark degree earlier. As that is a comment we have heard all too often please engage with your Craft brethren and let them know all about the Mark degree so that they have the opportunity to join sooner rather than later.
The evening had all the hallmarks of the Mark degree: well presented ritual, convivial company and general good humour and enjoyment throughout.
The Provincial Grand Master, who was on duty at the Great Priory of Malta, was represented by the Provincial Grand Secretary W. Bro. Huw Hopkin, P.G.J.D. who is pictured together with the new Worshipful Master and the Installing Master.
