Members of Hungerford Lodge of Mark Master Masons No. 1342, meeting in Newbury, Berkshire, donated £1,000 to Heartstart Thatcham. W.Bro. Paul Wilding, P.G.J.D. represented the Lodge at a presentation during a Heartstart training session at Thatcham Town Council’s offices. Dr Nick Young, Scheme Coordinator at Heartstart, expressed his thanks for the donation, which will support Heartstart Thatcham in providing free training courses.
Courses generally last around two hours and cover:

Heartstart Thatcham brings the Heartstart and Call Push Rescue schemes, which are a British Heart Foundation initiative, to Thatcham and surrounding areas (Newbury, Cold Ash, Greenham, Crookham, Donnington, Calcot, Bucklebury – West Berkshire). The courses teach people, for FREE, what to do in a life-threatening emergency – simple skills that save lives – with Emergency Life Support (ELS) Skills.
