Jersey Lodge of RAM No. 257 Installation & Elevation Meeting – 6th June 2018

The meeting was a double header of Elevating a new member, Bro. Guy Barlow and Installing a new Worshipful Commander, W. Bro. Mike Hennessy. Before either ceremony could get underway however the Provincial Grand Master presented Grand Lodge Certificates to Bro’s Tim Sherwood and Philp Jackson and also presented to the Lodge on behalf of the Mark Benevolent Fund the collarette as a Grand Patron Gold Award, only the second Royal Ark Mariner Lodge in the Province to achieve this honour.

The first ceremony was to Elevate Bro. Guy Barlow which was undertaken by W. Bro David Fisher, the candidates proposer, in a most capable manner ably assisted by the officers of the Lodge.

Then it was the turn of the Worshipful Commander, W. Bro. Ian Thomas to Install his successor, Bro. Mike Hennessy in as capable amanner as the previous ceremony. The new Worshipful Commander, appointed and invested all his officers, the Treasurer and BeMBA reports were received and a ballot taken for two further candidates.

All then departed to the Harte & Garter Hotel and dined on Brushetta peach, prosciutto and ricotta on jalapeno cheddar bread, onion chutney and salad leaves, Twice Cooked Blade of Beef followed by either Oreo Cheesecake or cheese and biscuits.
