Firstly you will need to be a member of a Mark Lodge to be able to join.
Each Royal Ark Mariner Lodge is “moored” or attached to a Mark Lodge (similar to that in the Royal Arch). Members of the Royal Ark Mariner Degree can be recognised by the wearing of a rainbow collared jewel on their breast pocket or a collarette.
Having decided to join Royal Ark Mariner Masonry you will need a Proposer and Seconder from the Lodge you wish to join. Your Proposer can either download an application form from the website or obtain from the Scribe (Secretary) of the Lodge.
You will be balloted for in open Lodge in the same way as in the Mark. This would preferably be done at the meeting before your Elevation, although it is permitted for the ballot to be taken at the meeting immediately prior to your Elevation ceremony. The ballot proving in your favour the Elevation ceremony can proceed.
For more information, contact the Provincial Grand Secretary by going to the Contact Us page or download our leaflet which contains a list of the Lodges in the Province with the contact details of each Lodge Scribe
