TWO NEW FACES ON THE PROVINCIAL EXECUTIVE

At the Provincial meeting held on Thursday 10th June 2010 the Provincial Grand Master, RW Bro Peter J Sands appointed two new brethren to the Provincial Executive.

Graham Seeman, PAGSwdB, Provincial Grand Director of Ceremonies

Graham is very much a Berkshire mason having been initiated into Erlegh Lodge in July 1984 and exalted into Erlegh Chapter in November 1987. He was advanced into Mark Masonry in the Friendship and Care Lodge in March 1993 (Master in 1998) and elevated into Friendship & Care Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners in October 1997 (Commander in 2004). He is also a Past Master of Erlegh Mark Lodge (2005) and a Member of Berkshire and Oxfordshire Installed Mark Masters’ Lodge.

As well as serving as a Provincial Deputy Grand Director of Ceremonies in the Craft Province, in the Mark Province Graham was Provincial Grand Organist for six years before serving a year as Provincial Grand Junior Warden. He was appointed to Past Assistant Grand Sword Bearer in 2008.

He has worked in IT within the warehousing and logistics industry for over 20 years. A father of five (two boys, three girls) he lives in Wiltshire with Fiona where he is organist at two village churches and his other hobbies are medieval history, heraldry and trying not to give in to every whim of his daughters – something at which he has so far been spectacularly unsuccessful.

Ian Brook Johnson, Provincial Grand Treasurer

Ian was Initiated into Kirby Lodge No. 2818 in London in November 1977 and became Worshipful Master in 1985 and again in 1994 and is currently the Director of Ceremonies a position he has held since 1998. He joined Sons of Kendrick Lodge No. 8362 in Berkshire on 5th April 1984 and became Worshipful Master in 1987 and was Director of Ceremonies from 1991 to 2005. He also joined Berkshire Provincial Grand Stewards Lodge No. 9381 in 1992 and Berkshire Masters Lodge No. 3684 in 2002 where he also became Director of Ceremonies in 2007. He has received a number of Provincial appointments in Berkshire and in particular Provincial Deputy Grand Director of Ceremonies from 1996 to 2002 and was appointed to Provincial Grand Senior Warden in 2004. In 2005 he was invested as Assistant Grand Director of Ceremonies a position he received through his London Lodge. In 1983 he was Exalted into Abbott Baldwin Chapter No. 8656 (Suffolk), joined Berkshire First Principals Chapter No. 3684 in 2002 and Sons of Kendrick Chapter No. 8362 in 2008 and was appointed to Provincial Grand Deputy Director of Ceremonies in 2005. He is also a member of a number of Masonic Charity Committees. In the Mark Degree he was Advanced in Caduceus Lodge of MMM No. 1631 and held every office in the Lodge culminating in him becoming Worshipful Master in 2009.
He is a Chartered Accountant and is a partner in one of the leading practices in the UK. His other interests include membership of the Round Table and is actively involved in fundraising for Charities and Community Projects.
His other hobbies are golf, skiing and eating out.
