Peter Sands completes final leg of "The Long Walk"

Over the last few weeks our Past Provincial Grand Master has been walking between all the Berkshire Masonic Centres where Mark meetings are held in aid of the Mark Benevolent Fund Festival 2017 which is being hosted by Berkshire. He has covered 90 miles encountering the full range of British weather. On Sunday the 24th August 2014 he completed the final leg of his long walk from Pangbourne to Caversham competing with the traffic of the Reading Festival. At Caversham he was meet by members of Old Rectory Mark as shown in the photograph above.

Peter and Milo have spent much of their walk alone but on occasions have been supported by the odd member who has provided some company and stimulating discussion. Several Lodges have sponsored Peter’s efforts with cheques being presented along the route,

With his marathon now over there is still time for members of the Province to sponsor Peter on an individual basis should they desire by logging onto :

Congratulations to Peter and Milo for their suburb effort.
