Paul Wilding, P.G.J.D. represented the Lodge at a presentation during a Heartstart training session at Thatcham Town Council’s offices. Dr Nick Young, Scheme Coordinator at Heartstart, expressed his thanks for the donation, which will support Heartstart Thatcham in providing free training courses.
Courses generally last around two hours and cover:
-  dealing with an unconscious person
-  the signs and symptoms of a heart attack
-  recognising a cardiac arrest and performing CPR
-  dealing with choking
-  dealing with serious bleeding.

The courses teach people, for FREE, what to do in a life-threatening emergency – simple skills that save lives - with Emergency Life Support (ELS) Skills.
