BeMBA Donates £250 to the St. Michaels Childcare Trust

As part of its support for small, local Charities, BeMBA presented a cheque to the value of £250 to St. Michael’s Childcare Trust in Bracknell. This will be used to help them develop a living garden, where young children can learn how to plant, grow and care for flowers and food plants. It will teach them where our food comes from and show the relationship between plants, insects and animals, which it is hoped the new garden will entice

The funding for the project was instigated by Bro. James Alexander of Erlegh Lodge of MMM No. 1627 and, although taking longer than anticipated to come to fruition, was well received.

The primary purpose of the garden area is educational, rather than making the area look nice and will get the children off to a good practical start in understanding the importance of horticulture in their daily lives.
