The Minutes of the 18th Committee meeting held at Sindlesham Court on Thursday 23th January 2014 having been circulated to all of the members. Were proposed as a true record by W Bro John Stocker and seconded by W Bro Ray Head and confirmed by the brethren present and signed by the Chairman.

There were no matters arising that would not covered by the agenda and updates.

The Treasurer, W Bro John Stocker, gave a report of the financial position of BeMBA. The accounts for the year ending 31st December 2013 have been audited by W Bro's Ray Head and Jim Payen. Income was £606. Expenditure was £4,755 and the deficit was £4,149. The General reserve of £49,786.39 is considered to be more than sufficient to meet expected demands. The expenditure this year amounts to £2,175 for widows vouchers. Income received is £66.
The members discussed the possible donations to Worcestershire for their festival and the Berkshire festival and decided to recommend to the AGM that the sum of £1,000 be given to each.

The Secretary reported that he did not have any requests or applications at present, but that it should be covered by the BeMBA Reps reporting to Lodges. The Committee agreed that it should continue to be given prominence in the reports and that experience showed that to be the case.

The Secretary, W Bro David Fisher, said that he had sent out 87 vouchers to known widows and had to date received replies from 70. The replies received so far were passed out to the representatives of the Lodges present at the meeting. Tony Hardiman showed the members the Almoner’s cards he has had printed. He said that he is still collating the Lodge Almoners details prior to sending the cards out to the widows. There was also a discussion on the merits of giving the cards to all Mark and RAM members but initially send to the widows as a priority.

Chairman: W Bro G Seeman
Vice Chair: W Bro J Maguire
Treasurer: W Bro J Stocker
Secretary: W Bro D Fisher
Auditors: W Bro's R Head & J Payen.

The Chairman agreed to look at the Mark BeMBA pamphlet again with a view to giving a copy to all new members.

The Chairman closed the meeting at 8.45pm with thanks to all for their attendance and interest.

The date of the next meeting (AGM) is Thursday 11th September 2014.
